The Overview I posted last night is really the post for this read.This is a very interesting book, one that I actually cycled through twice because it really gave us a clear picture of God’s character. People who don’t know God would read this book and the anger and vengeance would be the theme for them. However, I know Him and that is not what stood out to me. I see His Hand of protection for those that are His. As you read this, depending on the season of your life God may highlight it as historical reading, after all, this entire account is recorded in the Babylonian Cuneiform Tablets

Reading the Bible in a Year-2020 
I can’t say enough times how grateful I am for this study. I look forward to reading the Word like never before. And it has changed me. And I am in wonder of the timing! Praying for so many things!

A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him.
In light of what is going on in the world, not just the pandemic!

Patti, 30 minutes before you wrote this I was driving to work struggling over my lack of passion this week for “wanting” to read. It’s been a struggle. Not because I don’t want to but with schools re opening and also given a “second job” within my job (long story) my mind is full. So I was driving asking The Lord to say something to me! And I parked the car, did a few things, and my phone made that “special sound”. I ran to it, and it was your comment. Thank you Lord for “saying something” through Patti.

Who rises up against Nineveh to destroy them? I understand the scripture and I know that God’s word is what brought it to pass but who did he equip to do this?
I’m going back to try and understand and I’m stuck there for some reason.

The Medes technically destroy then in 612 BC…but it was really annalliance between all the “big players” at the time: Persian, Medes, and the Babylonians.
