Ezekiel 18-19

Ezekiel 18:
“‘The parents eat sour grapes,

and the children’s teeth are set on edge’?

Ezekiel addresses this proverb with a generational example that is AMAZING! Honestly, I don’t think you need me on this one.  I had actually written a very long post this morning but deleted it.  But can I share my favorite part:

21 “But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. 22 None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them. Because of the righteous things they have done, they will live. 23 Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

It’s called the Amazing Grace for Szymanski.

Take a minute to re-read Ezekiel 18 (I really wanted to cut and paste 21-32 because they say so much!)  By the way, if you read today and could “argue” the opposite based off of scriptures in Deuteronomy… I am ready for it…just hit me in comments and we can do it.  😉

Ezekiel 19- Ummmm did Baruch’s pen run out of ink on this one?  I was left with….well what about the restoration??  This was an analogy played off the prior reading.  One commentary I read on it called it “How the Mighty have Fallen!”.

The two cubs may represent the two kings: Jehoahaz and Jehoiachin.  Sorry….this is so late I just am stressed about not posting….going to end here.  Bad day 😢 at school.

  1. Loved 21-32..
V.30-32 was awesome! And there’s that word I’ve been talking about!
“And get a new heart and a new spirit”

Reminds me of 2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
