Chapel time is going to be a little different this week. Since we are learning that Prayer really does make a difference this is going to be about Prayer instead. If you need prayers, big or small, please put them it in comments all week. Let’s all pray for each other.
This is the time of the week where we share a scripture that stuck out to us. If you go to church and a scripture was read that was new to you, even if you have read it before, God will clarify it like you have never read it before. How did God highlight it for you now? When you are in God’s word like this, your ears are open to hear all around you in a way that is different than the “dry seasons” of your life. Maybe it was in a song, or your research, or from the Bible read, or even on a bumper sticker….Please share.
If you are new this week, Chapel Time is an opportunity to share something you heard today at church, in a song, on a podcast, or from the reading that fell on you! Maybe it’s a scripture you have heard 5,000 times but this time it was different, or it was a scripture that was brand new to you, or this is your first time reading the Bible and something blew you away, or you were singing a song (any song) and it was new to you. Please comment below. I am headed to a Springfield to watch a student wrestle today, I am probably going to be bored…give me SOMETHING to read 🙂
Last week we started something new: ‘Chapel time’. In comments you quote a scripture that was new to you and God highlighted it just for YOU or something you may have read so many times but God made it fall on you new. It may have been from this reading, church (if you went, but no judgement if you stayed in your cozy bed or don’t belong to one), a song…etc. But truth be told, I was 90% on the side of staying in bed and ‘Chapel time’ inspired me to go to church so I would have something to share.

Every Sunday we are going to have a little “Chapel Time”. I was sitting in church and was brought to a scripture that I had once read in Hebrews, but I honed in on it. I sat in the back row and just started recalling other scriptures like it and frantically looking up the cross references. (Unfortunately, I did not hear another word the pastor said, but I did hear a Word from God).
So each Sunday, in the comment section, I would love to hear about a scripture you heard today in church, a podcast, or just thumbing through a Bible that God clarified for you. I hope by the end of the day there are 194 comments for me to read through.
